Participants’ Code of Conduct

Behave at all times in a manner which reflects credit on yourself, your team and Tonbridge Gold.  

Co-operate at all times with Tonbridge Gold leaders, instructors, supervisors and assessors.

Fulfil any tasks or duties given to you by the Tonbridge Gold team during training and on expedition.

Agree not to leave training sessions or expeditions without consulting with the Training/Expedition Leader.

Respect requests and instructions given by campsite staff.

At all times be considerate to others and treat them with respect.

Be punctual.

Participate fully in all activities and with decisions made collectively within your team.

Comply with the Countryside Code and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award principles.

Look after and return any equipment borrowed or loaned to you in the state it was given to you. 

Accept that any report of misconduct will be forwarded to your parents/guardian and your DLC (school, college or youth centre).  In extreme situations of misconduct, you may be asked to leave any training or expedition and could be excluded in any further Tonbridge Gold activities.  In this event you will be expected to finance any costs necessary for your early return to Kent.
